Western Red Cedar is one of the most versatile lumber products available to commercial and residential builders, and is one of North America's greatest renewable resources. Slow growing and naturally durable, Western Red Cedar has one of the longest life spans of any North American softwood. It produces long lengths of timber with true, straight grain. It is naturally durable, light in weight, and free of pitch or resin. It contains natural oils that protect the wood from insects, decomposition and the exposure of year-round weather conditions. It is noted for its appearance, light weight, insulation value, and dimensional stability. It is commonly used for house siding, interior paneling, decking and fencing.
Our production process starts with rough green Western Red Cedar lumber mainly grown on Vancouver Island, BC. Strict quality control standards are implemented and adhered to throughout the manufacturing process, ensuring a quality finished product our customers have relied on since we opened our doors in 1994. Providing our customer with a consistent supply of the highest quality cedar products has been, and will continue to be one of our highest priorities.
Finger-jointed siding is Cedar that is "reassembled" to offer the performance of premium Cedar siding. Precision-fitted joints are actually stronger than the surrounding fiber and virtually invisible. We combine the durability of Western Red Cedar with waterproof glue to make our products reliable and dependable. Our wide variety of clear finger-jointed and edge-glued products offers affordable alternatives to more expensive solid products.

Timbers - Clear & #2&Btr Appearance
Western Red Cedar offers the advantages of natural beauty, design flexibility, exceptional dimensional stability and long term durability. In general applications can be classified into two very broad groups. First, for those structures such as large buildings in which both the strength and appearance of exposed wood members are of equal importance. Second, in landscape, park and garden structures where appearance is of very high importance.
#2&Btr Appearance: The lumber is sound and well manufactured. Its natural characteristics do not detract from the wood's fine appearance. This grade should be specified when the finest quality rough lumber is desired.
